Amazon and Deep Jungle South Region

Adventure awaits in the Amazon and deep jungle of the South Region of Colombia! Sparsely inhabited and consisted mostly of tropical rainforest, visitors will find several indigenous tribes with their respective territories, including the delightful Witoto and Antoke Tribes. The southern region is also the home to Colombia’s largest national park, Chiribiquete National Natural Park, where visitors can observe exotic birds and appreciate the fascinating biodiversity that only this part of the country can offer.

Bogota Region

A city cradled by the Andean summits as well as encompassed by the rivers and jungles of the Amazon, Bogota serves as the perfect birth spot to being your maiden South American voyage. These are exciting times for the resurrecting capital and cultural hub of Colombia. Bogota, being the switchboard for Colombia’s nerve centre, is surely enjoying the wrath of tourism on the rise as it has since seen a surge in local entrepreneurs, boutique hotels and even craft breweries. We welcome you to one of South America’s great cities who, among others, are prospering on the Colombia’s peace.

Cali Region

Beyond its handful of colonial churches and museums, you’ll find vibrant nightlife, restaurants that offer mouthwatering authentic dishes and old towns like San Antonio that have a lineup of hipster and antique shops. Although not as developed as Bogota and neither as refined as Medellin, this southwest Colombian city has more to offer than what meets the eye.

Colombian Coastal Caribbean Region

Perhaps the most colorful, eclectic region of Colombia is the Caribbean Coast with its rich culture, flavors, music, locals, and of course, its myriad of ecosystems. To say that this region has a lot to offer is an understatement. From the colonial city of Cartagena, the hauntingly atmospheric desert of La Guajira, the thrilling trek through dense jungle to Ciudad Perdida (Lost City), and the sun-soaked stretch of pristine beaches at Tayrona National Park, the Caribbean Coast will surely satisfy its visitors’ cravings for an adventure like no other.

Colombian Coastal Pacific Region

Bordered by Panama to the north and Ecuador to the south, the Pacific Region forms the western slice of Colombia along the Pacific Ocean. Unlike the developed Caribbean coast, this side of the country is wild, remote, and even mysterious. Aside from the pristine beaches, enchanting underwater world, and wild natural parks like the Gorgona Island, the region also houses stunning colonial and historic cities like Popayan that takes visitors back in time. Truly, the Pacific Region is perfect for nature fanatics looking for an unforgettable off-the-beaten-path destination.

Medellin Region

Today Medellin feels new-born. A city rejuvenated, a city of such contrast where only decades ago was named “most dangerous place in the world” to present day “most innovative city of the year” by the Wall Street Journal. Medellín has been hailed worldwide as a beacon for using modern development to transform rough, crime-ridden neighbourhoods into thriving, tourist-friendly communities. It’s difficult to visit Medellin without encountering some mention of the 1980’s drug lord Escobar and the impact he had on the city. However, the fall of one man’s rein has allowed the introduction of new ingenious infrastructure, the growth of beautiful public spaces and many more luxury offerings.

Villavicencio and Llanos (Plains) East Region

To travel to the ‘Wild East’ of Colombia is to experience the folkloric lifestyle of the locals in Los Llanos and Villavicencio. Consisting mostly of sprawling, seasonally flooded plains or savannahs, this part of the country impresses with its charming haciendas, idyllic rivers, over 350 bird species, and diverse flora and fauna. Untouched by mass tourism, the Eastern plains of Colombia offers an authentic cultural experience and a paradise to birding enthusiasts and lovers of nature.
